Vaginal Rejuvenation Without Surgery
The vagina can change both externally and internally for a number of reasons, including aging, childbirth, and menopause. While vaginal rejuvenation surgery has been available for years, prolonged recovery time and the potential for complication can discourage some women from pursuing treatment. ThermiVa offers a non-surgical, non-laser option for feminine rejuvenation, with benefits that can expand beyond just aesthetic improvement.
- improved aesthetic appearance
- tissue retraction and shrinkage for a marked improvement in labia laxity
- improvement in interior muscle laxity
- improvement in urinary stress incontinence
- increased lubrication and sensitivity
How ThermiVa Works
ThermiVa utilizes controlled radiofrequency, the same thermal energy that has been harnessed for over a decade for non-surgical face and body rejuvenation (Other radiofrequency treatments you may be familiar with are Thermage, eMatrix, Pelleve, and Intensif).
ThermiVa works by stimulating blood circulation and collagen production to increase tissue strength, elasticity and thickness.
Who It’s Best For

- Treatment cannot be performed if you are currently pregnant.
- If you have recently given birth, it is recommended to wait at least 6 weeks before treatment.
Before Treatment Planning
***In preparation for your appointment, the area to be treated should be shaved or closely trimmed. Shaving should be done the day before your scheduled treatment; hair laser or waxing at least a week before.
***A pregnancy test will be administered in-office immediately before each ThermiVa treatment. If you are menstruating, treatment is not contraindicated, however you may want to plan your treatments around your cycle for your own comfort.
Our ThermiVa-certified Registered Nurses will perform the treatment and take care of you all the way through.
What to Expect During Treatment
Treatment is performed by one of our fully-trained Registered Nurses, Liz or Aileen. Rest assured your entire treatment experience is done with the utmost of privacy and sensitivity in the singular attendance of our female nurses assisted by female staff.
During treatment, the wand is gently moved along the external and internal area of the vagina to heat up the tissue. The sterile, disposable ThermiVa wand is no larger than the size of an index finger, and is equipped with a small panel on the tip that emits the radiofrequency energy. Treatment is quick and comfortable, with the procedure itself taking no longer than 30 minutes. Patients compare the sensation during treatment to that of a warm massage.
What to Expect After Treatment
After treatment, you will likely experience minor swelling and/or redness of the treated area, as well as possible cramping and/or spotting. These side effects are generally mild in nature, and typically last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. There is no downtime involved; no restrictions on exercise and other regular activities, including sexual intercourse.
Best Results – Think Three
Although you will experience improvements from a single initial treatment, for best results – proven with thousands of patients – a series of three ThermiVa treatments are recommended, with treatments performed monthly. Once the series is complete, results can last up to a year. In order to maintain desired results, patients are encouraged to return for treatment at least once every 3-6 months.
