Qwo® Cellulite Treatment

A New Approach to Treating Moderate to Severe Cellulite

Do you have cellulite on your buttocks? Does your cellulite make you feel self-conscious about wearing your favorite pair of shorts or bikini?

Even though you’re not alone – in fact, 90% of women have cellulite – this condition can still be a major drag on your self-confidence. That’s why it may be time to introduce yourself to the Qwo® Cellulite Treatment, the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe cellulite.

The Qwo® Cellulite Treatment is now available at Total Dermatology in Irvine, CA.

What is the Qwo® Cellulite Treatment?

The Qwo® Cellulite Treatment is a prescription injectable that’s approved by the FDA to treat the main cause of moderate to severe cellulite: the fibrous septae.

Think of the fibrous septae like it’s an elastic band. Cellulite is caused when the fibrous septae pushes fat tissue up to the surface of the skin, causing the dimpling that’s common with cellulite. This is why diet and exercise may not help cellulite because the root cause of it is the pressure on fat tissue caused by the fibrous septae.

The Qwo® Cellulite Treatment breaks up the pressure caused by the fibrous septae, resulting in an improvement in cellulite symptoms.

Am I A Good Candidate For the Qwo® Cellulite Treatment?

You’re a good candidate for the Qwo® Cellulite Treatment if you have moderate to severe cellulite symptoms on the buttocks. The Qwo® Cellulite Treatment cannot be used on any other part of the body.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

A typical Qwo® Cellulite Treatment can be performed within an hour-long treatment session.

During this session, your Total Dermatology technician will be injected into the fatty tissue of the buttocks. You may receive up to twelve injections per treatment area.

What Results Will I See?

Results can include a reduction in the dimpling that’s so common with cellulite.

You may need three separate sessions (spaced at least 21 days apart) to see your best results.

Is There Any Downtime?

Downtime is minimal. Most patients experience soreness and bruising at the injection site. You may be advised to avoid sitting and sleeping on your back for the first few days after your treatment.
