What is the Recovery Time for a Threadlift?

Are you interested in experiencing the power of a Threadlift for yourself?

You know that a Threadlift can help lift and reposition sagging facial skin for a younger appearance. You’ve also heard that a Threadlift can help repair and improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines – all without requiring surgery.

But what exactly is the recovery time for a Threadlift? And what does that recovery look like? Let’s take a look:

Timeline for a Threadlift Recovery

Every patient is different, but usually, you can expect to spend about four weeks total recovering from your Threadlift procedure. Here’s what that recovery looks like:

  • During the first week, you’ll experience a decent amount of swelling and bruising, so we usually recommend taking that time off from work.
  • You’ll be prohibited from strenuous exercise for the first four weeks after your Threadlift procedure.

During your Threadlift recovery, you’ll be able to go about your tasks as normal, but you may want to rest and relax during your first week in case you feel uncomfortable.

Will My Threadlift Recovery Hurt?

The first few days after your Threadlift procedure may be uncomfortable, as you’re likely to have some swelling and bruising around the incisions. Plus, some patients tell us that they have some facial soreness in the first few days after the procedure. Fortunately, all side effects usually disappear within the first week of recovery.

If you’re nervous about your Threadlift recovery, you can use over-the-counter pain medications and cold compresses to help minimize swelling, bruising, and discomfort. If you’re in serious pain after your Threadlift procedure, contact your plastic surgeon immediately.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Threadlift?

You’re a good candidate for a Threadlift if you’ve started to notice signs of facial aging, like sagging skin, jowls, and volume loss. Most Threadlift candidates aren’t quite ready for a traditional facelift procedure, but they may have aging symptoms that require more than fillers or injections.
