A "Nose Job" using Radiesse Dermal Filler

A Nose Job without Surgery

Crooked nose? A small dent that bothers you? An unwanted hump on the bridge of your nose? All these can be corrected with simple injections of a dermal filler. Radiesse, a thick paste consistency filler, has proved to be the ideal substance to correct many of the minor deformities that exist either genetically or as a result of an accident or surgical procedure.

Today's Rhinoplasty (" Nose Job") is typically performed for appearance improvement and often the corrections desired are fairly subtle. Surgical correction of nose misalignment, indentations or imbalance is expensive, very uncomfortable and many times takes up to a year before the final results are seen.

How does a non-surgical rhinoplasty work?
Dr. Pilest is able to make these corrections, which last up to 2 years, by injecting Radiesse and then molding it to create the appearance of a straighter nose, to lessen an obvious hump on the bridge of the nose, to fill small indentations and to balance a nose that is visually thicker on one side than the other.

By adding small amounts of
Radiesse along the sides of the
nose, the "crooked" appearance is changed simply and instantly.

Why use Radiesse for my "nose job"?
Radiesse, used also for filling nasolabial folds and marionette lines, consists of smooth particles of calcium that, after injection, form a scaffold that is slowly filled with your own collagen. Studies show it lasts for a year to 18 months, although the spheres may last as long as five years before breaking down. The consistency of Radiesse works very well in the spongy areas that make up the nose. You can almost think of it as a clay that fills in depressions to change the look of the nose. Small corrections make a very visible difference.

Is Radiesse safe?
The component of Radiesse calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, has been used over the years in for vocal cord insufficiency, tissue marking and for oral defects.

How do I know if non-surgical nose shaping will work for me?
Radiesse Rhinoplasty is designed for a variety of corrections. A consultation with Dr. Pilest will determine if a non-surgical nose reshaping will give you the results desired.

Before After

Can injections of Radiesse correct a drooping nose?
Drooping nose tips can often be altered to a more "up-tilted" position by using specifically placed Botox injections. Also, the bunny lines that some women experience when smiling can be treated by Botox.

Post-surgical scars from skin cancer removal
Radiesse is also an effective corrective filler for rebuilding lost tissue following skin cancer surgery on the nose.

Other non-surgical corrections and enhancements
Dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Cosmoderm or Restylane in the lips and wrinkles, Radiesse in the nasolabial folds, combined with Botox to relax wrinkle-causing muscles can mimic many of the surgically invasive procedures.
